"Federico
Garcia Lorca in Flamenco"
Introduction:
Lorca was one of the first poet to approach the flamenco music. He organized
some "cante jondo"- the most pure expression of flamenco art
festivals and particularly one in Granada in 1922 with the aid of the musician
M. De Falla. Through Lorca "Flamenco" as art cante, baile
and guitar was officially recognised by the culture of those days.
Our project is to accompany Lorca poems with the gipsy andalusa music
so that voice, guitar and dance can armoniously melt together.
